Budget 2021 Part 5: Increased Revenue and Recoveries

The $1.2 million - Increased revenue/recoveries reflect opportunities to increase revenue for a service or increase the recovery level of service.

The Increased revenue/recovery section includes changes in Community and Recreation Facilities, Community Standards and Neighbourhoods, Corporate Expenditures and Revenues, Fire and Rescue Services and Parks and Roads Services.

Changes that are relevant to the experiences and services that Edmontonians receive are in the following areas.

Community and Recreation Facilities:

  • Growth in fees from cemeteries 

  • Increase in Muttart admission fees

Community Standards and Neighborhoods 

  • Adjustment to snow/weed removal revenue budgets, no impacts to service or fees

Parks and Road Services

  • Pilot of Snow and Ice Control Snow Dump Site Cost Recovery with City of St. Albert. Initiative will be implemented in the fall of 2020 for the 2020/2021 snow season.
